GRADING SCALE
M Only a sealed record can receive this rating.
NM Records
in this condition are flawless to the eye and will have absolutely no
audible noise while playing them. This rating usually means a record
has been opened and played maybe once or twice.
EX Just
a step below NM. A EX record will shows only the slightest signs of
being handled and may have only a few superficial that marks thst do
not in any way effect the sonic quality of the record.
VG+ Records
in this condition are just a step below EX. They show very minimal
signs of being handled. A VG+ record is probably the most common
condition to find a used record in. The record can have very light
signs of wear but will still play excellent with no skips or pops.
VG Records in this
condition show signs of handling such as light sleeve rash.
Records in this condition will play fine all the way through with
audible noise being for the most part nonexistent.
VG This
is usually the condition of a well cared for Dj copy. Shows lots of
wear, but still has life in it and will still make a good DJ copy.
G As
most of us know a G rating is not really that good. The record shows
lots of wear and has basically played heavily. Their will be slight
audible noise and an occasional pop. Although the shape of the record
is not the best it will play through with not much of a problem and
still has quite a bit of life in it..
