Introducing the New Ultra High-Performance TCR Series

The fly rod as pure concept. That's the thinking behind our new, limited series Technical Casting Rods (TCR). It all started as a design exercise to find out just how far we could push the boundaries of fast-action tapers and high line speed, while maintaining a rod's all-important fishability. The result of this R & D was a series of prototypes that became so popular here at Sage, we felt compelled to offer them to our customers.

To be clear, these rods are not for the casual angler. The TCR Series is designed for skilled casters facing the most demanding condition - long shots at spooky bones, waking dries into distant steelhead lies, or punching hoppers into the wind on big Western trout rivers. Basically, any situation where technical precision, distance and the ability to cut through wind are at a premium, the TCR will give you the advantage you need.

The TCR Series features hand-shaped grips, made only from individually selected Flor grade, premium-quality cork rings, distinctive "chili pepper" blanks, and the finest components available. To maximize performance, we've also designed a new fly line specifically for the TCR, called the TCR Performance Taper. These lines are 110 feet long with an extended belly for increased line control and a narrower running section for serious shooting distance.
