This item we are offering was worn in the movie 'BELOVED' (1998) .
This is a pair of pantaloons (1), which is lightly distressed, and are done in an off white cotton. These pantaloons are the least distressed so the 'movie blood' increases on the other pairs. These have a splash of movie blood on the one leg. They fasten with a button at the waistband and are pleated. The bottom edges have lace and ruching, as you can see in the pictures.
'BELOVED' (1998) starred OPRAH WINFREY; DANNY GLOVER; JASON ROBARDS; THANDIE NEWTON; KIMBERLY ELISE; BEAH RICHARDS; LISA GAY HAMILTON; KESSIA RANDALL and many many others...A brief synopsis (imdb) of 'BELOVED' : Slavery, brief freedom, and their lasting psychological presence. Some years after the Civil War, former slave Sethe (OPRAH WINFREY) lives with her grown daughter Denver (KIMBERLY ELISE) outside Cincinnati. Sethe is stolid and hard working; Denver wants society. Paul D (DANNY GLOVER), a former slave who knew Sethe, happens on them and joins the farm and family, but not before the house rattles and pitches, as if spirits reject Paul D's coming. Next, inexplicably, a young woman about Denver's age arrives, behaving in childlike ways, speaking and walking awkwardly, calling herself "Beloved (THANDIE NEWTON). Who she is, her effect on Sethe, and Paul D's responses propel Sethe into the past and Denver into a new maturity.
