These are the last listings I will have of any bottles or netsukes that were left in my collection. I hope I have kept the best until last. All items cost £4 shipping worldwide for the first item and £2 (a 50% reduction) for each extra item won - once all items are paid for and mailed at the same time. This is a truly stunning Chinese piece. It is a wonderful green Jade snuff bottle, hand carved as an Owl. It has a beautiful natural colour and pattern and is well polished. This has been finished off with a stopper that has a spoon attached on the inside. THE OWL: The owl was revered (honored) as being the guardian of the after-life – a highly respected emblem indeed. Throughout many cultures, including the Chinese the symbolic meaning of an owl deals with: intelligence, brilliance, perspective, intuition, quick-wit, independence, wisdom, protection, mystery and power. This bottle is well hollowed out and comes with a Presentation Box. What you see in the photo is what you get. The colours are as close as I can get them and all photos have been taken in natural light.
