FORMAT: Hardback, glossy pictorial boards matching the dust jacket, black-and-white drawings, 64 pgs, about 9.25 X 6.25 inches.
BOOK CONDITION: Good -- front endpage has a pucker and the paper is starting to crack at the hinge, the first few pages have a crease otherwise the content pages are fine, no writing, no tears, no smudges.
DJ CONDITION: Very good -- light wear on edges, a few light scuffs/rubbing.

FROM THE DUST JACKET:

When Sally Ann arrives at Mrs. Foster's day care center, she keeps her eyes and ears open, and what she hears is bad news.

The trouble starts when two inspectors come and tell Mrs. Foster she is breaking the rules. Sally Ann is a doll of decision. She doesn't trust the inspectors, and she's not about to lose her new home without a fight. "We must do something!" she tells the other toys in the closet.

Sally Ann's energy and determination win her lots of friends in and out of the toy closet, and -- with Blanche Sims's exuberant drawings -- they're sure to win her lots of young readers as well.

After editing scripts for the Dr. Who television series for six years, Terrance Dicks went on to write fifty Dr. Who books based on the program. In addition he has fifty children's books to his credit, including the Goliath series.

In recent years he has worked as a script editor and producer for the BBC Classic Serial. Mr. Dicks lives in London.

Blanche Sims has illustrated many books for children, including all the titles in the Kids of the Polk Street School series by Patricia Reilly Gift and Joey's Head by Gladys Cretan. Blanche Sims lives in Westport, Connecticut.
