SAMPSON MORDAN SILVER PROPELLING PENCIL - COLOURED LEADS













A rare and attractive (unmarked) silver telescopic propelling pencil made by Sampson Mordan and Co.

This is a rare pencil: it contains 3 separate chambers made to house leads of 3 different colours - red, black and blue.

Each chamber can be pushed down as necessary to expose the required colour.

Dates from around 1870.

CONDITION - Excellent : enamel unworn and silver good. Telescopic section is stiff to pull out but inside is unscratched. Needs leads installed.

DIMENSIONS  - extended length - 4.5" ; closed length - 3.75".
