The Algar people inhabit the Plains of Algaria in the works of renowned fantasy author David Eddings. A strong affinity with horses has given them considerable strength and agility on horseback and they are revered as fierce warriors. The ability of some of their number to communicate directly with the minds of horses has further unified their connection to the horses of the plain. Algars are traditionally a roving people living in temporary encampments and their nomadic lifestyle sees them constantly on the move.
