Details:  A rare sterling silver oval snuff box with hinged lid. Thick agate panel to the lid. It is in very fine condition. Crest to the base with owners initials to the base and side.

Hallmarks / date / Maker: Hallmarked Makers mark IE stamped to the inside of the base. James Erskine of Aberdeen who was working c1780

Condition: Very good. No splits, repairs or other similar damage. Agate panel very good without cracks. Lid fits firmly without play. Hinge excellent. A great item.
