This listing is specifically for the guitar type above. Yamaha* uses a nice clear-coat type finish over stained wood which is durable, practical & ding-resistant while adding a brilliant shine. Some older Yamaha* acoustic guitars use a thinner finish which is not quite as lacquer-heavy. Yamaha's classical guitars, especially the higher end ones, tend to have a slightly thinner finish also  Not all guitar finishes are alike--they can differ greatly in thickness, texture, composition, & method of application. This polish is designed with the guitar above in mind.
