After the Canadian alt-rock ensemble Stutterfly and its singer, Chris Stickney, parted ways, the group morphed into Secret & Whisper, recruited new vocalist Charles Furney, and subsequently issued GREAT WHITE WHALE. Revealing the influence of both emo and metal, Secret & Whisper doesn't fully align itself with either style, resulting in a propulsive, dramatic sound that is embodied by the fierce "XOXOXO" and the restless "Anchors."
