SIGNED LENOX W H MORLEY WHITE ROSES DISPLAY PLATE 1896

It is an artist signed, hand painted & decorated plate. There is a floral still life of white roses painted in subtle colors with great detail & realism. The pink rim is circled with two gold bands & over painted with thick, beaded gold swags & rondelles. Even the foot ring is gilded.

It is in excellent "used" condition with no cracks, chips or restoration (black light tested). There are a couple of very minor scratches which are not nearly as noticeable as they appear to be in photos & mentioned only in the interest of complete disclosure. There is also a clear coat bubble spot on the underside that was in the making. It is still perfect as a unique gift, destined to become a cherished heirloom.

It measures about 10 3/8" (26 cm.) in diameter.

It has the gold "LENOX CAC" wreath (Ceramic Art Company) mark that was used Ca. 1896. It also has impressed "LENOX". The painting is artist signed by the acclaimed painter "W.H. MORLEY".
