HAND SMOCKED GIRL'S DRESS - SZ 2 - NEW
This auction is for a smocked girl's dress sold by e-maginativegifts.com. The store has as objective to help women in 3rd world countries to increase their income. You can read more on my objective and the women who make the items on my Website.
This size 2 dress was handmade by women in Argentina in a village about 100 miles from Buenos Aires. The women smock the dresses at home while they take care of their children and thehousehold. They subsequently bring the smocked part to the cooperative where it is washed and assembled into a dress. I work with the manager of the cooperative. The dress is a tartan design in a mixture of cotton and polyester. The dress has a slip with lace border. The slip does not show under the tartan dress. It closes with buttons and a sash and does not have a brand name.
Customers have reacted differently to the size of the dress. Some tell me it sizes small, others that it sizes big. So, please take the measurements of your girl. If it does not fit, you may always return the dress (see below). I reimburse the costs of the dress but not the costs of shipping
The measurements taken while the dress is lying flat are: Length: 22-1/4" from top of neck opening where it meets shoulder, down to bottom skirt edge Chest: front measurement (just under arm) is 7-1/2” across front taking gathers into consideration. When gathered fabric is pulled flat it can expand to 8” across chest. The hem is 1-1/2"
The minimum bid for the dress is $ 19.95. Shipping and handling is $5.90. Shipping is per postal priority mail. The item is shipped the next business day if payment is with Paypal .
I have over 1800 positive ebay feedbacks. If for one reason or another you are not happy with the item you may return it. I refund the cost of the item but not the shipping.
