Start a new holiday tradition! From the mountains of Southern Vermont come these lovely hand-crocheted snowflakes, each one as original and unique as the ones that fall from heaven! Handmade by Mrs. K (also known as my mom, who has been a fiber artist for nearly fifty years!), these snowflakes will last for years ... honest! They look fragile, but they won't melt or break; store them flat and they'll last for years ... long enough for you to pass them down! I'm selling them in pairs, and have tried to make each set representative of the different styles and embellishments that are woven into each snowflake; in this pair, one flake measures 3 1/4" and shines with an opalescent glow, accented with pearl beads; the second measures 2 1/2" across and is embellished with silvery glass beads woven into the pattern as it was created ... not glued in ... they are part of the snowflake itself. Created from fine cotton thread, they come with a clear filament loop for attaching to tree or gift. Each snowflake was crafted individually, given a brief starch dip and pinned out to dry so it would hold its shape proudly to decorate your tree or package

Special note regarding the snowflakes: these were handmade by my mom, who has sold them locally in Vermont for years ... they were always in demand at craft shows and in my brother's restaurant, where they sold right off the Christmas tree at $5 apiece!
