CONDITION

The condition of this book when I got it was poor and it has since had some professional repairs.  The Dust Jacket is now in good- condition with wear to the top and bottom of the spine and a small tear on the bottom of the front cover.  Library stickers professionally removed with still some residue left.  Where the corners are off the book there is some loss of dust jacket.  Otherwise a pretty attractive dust jacket for a library edition which I will ship with a new Brodart Jacket.

The book itself again was in poor condition when received and I will upgrade that to fair.  The bottom edge of the book is worn as pictured.  There one library stamp as pictured.  One of the pages has been tastefully taped.  There is a stain as pictured on one of the pages which looks like a kid took a cheeto finger to it.  Hinges have been tightened professionally.  Old library card holder has been ripped out as pictured with a stamp on the opposite page.  Cover and back cover have residue where tape was on the dust jacket.  Remainder mark on the top of the text block.  Almost all condition issues are pictured for the book side of things

A BIT ABOUT HARRY POTTER COMPLIMENTS OF WIKIPEDIA

Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the adolescent wizard Harry Potter, together with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, his friends from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The central story arc concerns Harry's struggle against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents in his quest to conquer the wizarding world and subjugate non-magical (Muggle) people to his rule. Several successful derivative films, video games and other themed merchandise have been based upon the series.

Since the 1997 release of the first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was retitled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's StoneAs of June 2008, the book series has sold more than 400 million copies and has been translated into 67 languages, and the last four books have consecutively set records as the fastest-selling books in history. in the United States, the books have gained immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide.

English-language versions of the books are published by Bloomsbury in the United Kingdom, Scholastic Press in the United States, Allen & Unwin in Australia, and Raincoast Books in Canada. Thus far, the first six books have been made into a series of motion pictures by Warner Bros., with the sixth, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, released on 15 July 2009.The series also originated much tie-in merchandise, making the Harry Potter brand worth £15 billion.
