The Space Shuttle Discovery and the STS-128 crew launched from the Kennedy Space Center on August 28, 2009. The crew was led by commander Rick Sturckow and pilot Kevin Ford and mission specialists Jose Hernandez, John Olivas, Nichole Stott, Christer Fuglesang and Patrick Forrester.This was the 30th mission to the International Space Station.

This 2-hour DVD covers the countdown highlights starting 5-hours before liftoff and ending with the successful launch into space.
