A spectacular looking antique Turkoman culture, or central Asian silver bead of extra-large proportions, dating from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's more or less, with gold fire-gilded designs on the faceted upper and lower edges. The silver content is probably the same as sterling (.925), but no less than coin silver. The condition is mostly good showing some age and wear overall, about 41 mm (almost 2 inches), in diameter and 89 mm or over 3 inches in length.
Please note that most of the photographs have been enlarged, and may look larger than the size of the actual items (although the reverse may be true in this case as this is a very large bead). Also, colors may appear somewhat different in the viewers computer than the item is in person. |
