This instrument is in excellent condition. It privately owned by an engineer who is now working on a shake table to test the replacement for the space shuttle. It is useful in a number of fields such as serious audio work, vibration testing, earthquake and seismic analysis, in fact anything that produces signals under 100kHz. It has a number of analysis features as well.

One nice feature is the composite video output which can be fed to the 11 inch Sanyo monitor (included) as well as to other recording and analyzing devices that use standard NTSC composite video. It is equiped for rack or bench mounting.

The model SD345 Micro FFT Analyzer is a stand-alone, hard wired instrument that combines a 400-line analyzer, ensemble averager, and a dual-trace raster scan crt in a single portable unit. The instrument is a micro-processor based FFT analyzer that analyzes frequences up to 100 kHz with 400-line resolution. Spectral data is displayed on the crt and also on the attached monitor. Harmonic relationships (orders) between machine components can be directly displayed and expanded. An alphanumeric readout on the crt, in conjunction with a cursor and the crt display grid provides information in a variety of immediately usable forms. Quantities can be read out in engineering units such as mil/sec, mil displacement, g, etc. Automatically scaled X-Y recorder outputs and X-Y display outputs are also provided. The design of the SD345 adapts it to almost any application in the design, production testing, and maintenance troubleshooting of rotating machinery. In addition, sound pressure level can be read out directly, useful in a broad variety of acoustic studies.

The dual-trace feature is very nice, allowing simultaneous display of a live signal along with a memorized one.

The following features are provided as standard:

- Front-panel selection of 16 frequency ranges from 1 HZ to 100 kHz full scale.

- A built-in dual-trace raster scan crt with cursor-controlled X4 magnification.

- Internally generated display grid with seperate brightness control displayed on the internal crt and also the external monitor.

- Built in averager for signal-to-noise enhancement in the frequence domain.

- Peak hold mode.

- CRT and monitor aphanumeric readout of the following parameters for any point in the spectrum display:

    Transducer sensitivity, dB REF and threshold percentage for transient capture are entered by means of front-panel keyboard.

Seperate connectors are provided on the rear panel for external display, X-Y plotter and X-Y display.

This unit comes with original printed manual, line cord, and the external monitor. The monitor has a phosphor which matches the color of the internal crt, it is not a TV white screen so can be easily photographed.
