Rare and remarkable tsuka with iron fuchi kashira with shito dome ,silver and gold iroe inlay of  bamboo and bird .Shakudo menuki soten style with gold and silver ,mounted on fine samekawa ,featuring the most intricate wrapping made with single line that only the best masters could executed ..,a truly superb tsuka , accompanied by a large iron tsuba inlayed with gold and silver  bamboo and cranes ,tsuba with raised mimi and 2 itsu opening ,a beautiful set in splendid condition from the Edo period

Sur un sabre japonais  la garde s'appelle la tsuba. Son rôle est de protéger la main et de l'empêcher de glisser sur la poignée appelle tsuka mais aussi d'en assurer l'équilibre par contrepoids. Elle prend en général la forme d'un disque ouvragé mais peut également être de forme carrée, hexagonale, rectangulaire, etc. On distingue plusieurs particularités sur la tsuba ayant tout une fonction précise 

Elle sont de forme ovale et ronde avec une coverture hitsuana ouverte et permette qui permet le passage du petit couteau appeler kozuka et du kogai tsuba . 

Conseil pour ceux qui veulent démarrer une collection de tsuba ou autre pièces japonaise,vous en trouverez d'autre sur ebay.fr mais méfier vous des fausses qui abondent ,en cas de doute demander moi même si c'est d'un autre vendeur et pour faciliter vos recherche ,celle vendu de chine sont toutes fausses  ,car il est interdit d'exporter officiellement des véritables antiquité de chine sans l'accord du gouvernement .
