STACK WADDY 'Bugger Off!' CD (UK, Cherry Red, Catalogue #CDM RED 331) Brand new/unplayed copy of superior Cherry Red label CD edition (with 5 previously unreleased bonus tracks) of scarce Dandelion label LP release from 1972 of raging British R&B Rock by Stack Waddy. 17 tracks in all, with superb booklet of liners, photos, etc. 'John Peel favourites Stack Waddy were a raucous rock'n'roll 4-piece from Manchester who were signed to the late DJ's Dandelion Records in the early '70s. "Bugger Off!" is the bands second studio album originally released in 1972. This release also includes the 'lost' BBC Peel Session of 1972.' 'Stackwaddy were absolutely incorrigible, everything a rock'n'roll band should be' - Clive Selwood "On stage they were loud, aggressive, fairly pissed and remarkably unsubtle. Their frustrations and energies were poured into music that was impossible to ignore." - John Peel 'Stackwaddy set out as a wild and raucous R&B outfit (originally called New Religion) in Manchester in 1965. They built up a good reputation on the city's club circuit, but John Groom left in 1966 and Steve Revell came in on drums. Knail's tendency to throw bottles at or assault their audience when dissatisfied with their level of appreciation eventually led him to being jailed. Both albums are now rare and sought-after. Bugger Off was withdrawn from sale in many record shops because of its title - obviously this hindered sales and it's the harder of their two albums to find. It included cover versions of The Kinks' You Really Got Me and Frank Zappa's Willie The Pimp, which were also put out on 45, but these were just two among several cover versions.' - The Tapestry Of Delights Tracks on this CD are as follows:
