The mug is new and never used. I am sorry the photo ins't better. Even in my light tent the dark brown color under the shiny plastic makes it very difficult to photograph --but it is really beautiful in person.
I charge $5.90 for Priority Mail US Shipping, however, I will ship it for FREE to any U.S. destination if you use the Buy-It-Now feature --or if you purchase it from my eBay Store... If you want this mug, be sure to Buy it now, because this feature disappears once the first bid is placed.
All of my Starbucks mugs are brand new --never used. I rarely sell a used mug and if I do it will be clearly spelled out in the auction.
In 1994 Starbucks started the collectible city mug series. They produced mugs from dozens of major cities --first in the US and later all over the world. The city mugs became instant collectibles. Travelers were bringing them home from all over the country and the world.
The original plan was that you could only buy a city mug in that city. BUT - in 2003 Starbucks found themselves with a large quantity of overstocked city mugs and they started selling them in other cities. Collectors went nuts! Starbucks received hundreds of complaint letters from collectors who had paid big bucks for mugs from distant cities. (Some of the rarest ones such as the Pike Place Mug, Paris, Jerusalem, Alaska, Singapore and Malta can sell for as much as $175 each. Other hard to get city mugs vary in price on eBay from $25 to $75.)
After all the mail and even negative newspaper articles, Starbucks promised never to sell the mugs out of their home city again --thus insuring the collectability and price stability of one of the hottest advertising collectibles in the world.
I collect Starbucks mugs and often sell Starbucks mugs and other collectibles on eBay. Please see my other auctions. If you win more than one item, I can combine them to save you shipping cost.
Shipping and handling for this mug is $5.90 via USPS Priority Mail to anywhere in the US. Yes - I could ship it cheaper, but this way you get, insurance, positive delivery confirmation and your mug arrives a lot faster.
