The 110V Myth : When selecting a steam shower it is very important to check the unit's power rating. There is a common misconception being spread by other ebay sellers that 110V is just as effective as 220V and less expensive to install. This couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, large steam showers with a 110 voltage rating not only use more current but require you to install larger size wiring to safely conduct that current. It's not uncommon to see the larger 110v steam showers with a voltage current in excess of 45amps which is completely unsuitable for your average home. In addition to this, due to the larger wiring a 110v steam shower rarely uses steam generators with more then 3KW of power. Conversely a 220v steam shower is capable of handling a 4.5KW steam generator resulting in a much stronger and more effective steam delivery system. The Aquapeutics U689 has a 4.5KW steam generator versus most 110v steam showers which have a 3KW steam generator. Please note that this is a very large and heavy item! (See specifications above) You MUST be able to make arrangements to get this into your home. At the time of delivery please be sure to inspect the entire contents of the boxes to make sure there is no damage. Be sure to indicate any damage you find on the delivery reciept before signing. This is VERY important. We cannot replace a part if damage is caused by the shipping company and a proper claim isn't filed. Free shipping is to continental US only.
