A wonderful bear. A great bear. An enchanting homage to a great woman -

the founder of the Steiff company, Margarete Steiff.

To mark the100th  anniversary of her death on 9th May 2009 Steiff have produced

this impressive Teddy bear made of gold-coloured curly mohair .

Am impressive 65cm Teddy bear with a warm expression  in its big, black wooden eyes.

 Full of pride and joy, it displays a portrait of Margarete Steiff in her younger years

on its belly created in collaboration with Teddy bear designer Lisa Rosenbaum.
