New York 1935 Model D - Ebony Satin - excellent condition
____________________________________________
This instrument received custom-rebuilding
between 1990 and 1992, using some
of the principles introduced by
Josef Hofmann.
The restauration included a new
soundboard, custom-placed bridges,
strings, tuning pins, and action.
The keytops are mint-condition bone.
This is a "must hear" instrument, a few
notches up from other fine Steinway D concert grands.
A connoisseur of fine concert grands,
owner took meticulous care of this instrument and
his side-by-side Bosendorfer Imperial.
He is replacing both pianos with
identical-model new ones.
