Hello and welcome. You are bidding on an amazing one-of-a-kind album by and called "Strange Creek Singers" on the Arhoolie label (4004) from 1972. The jacket is a VG++, with a bit of corner wear but otherwise unmarked. The vinyl is beautiful Near Mint. The back cover is packed with informative liner notes about the artists and the songs. WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT THIS? The Strange Creek Singers are an Old-Time music supergroup, if ever there were. The guys included Mike Seeger, Tracy Schwarz, and Lamar Grier; the girls were none other than the legendary Hazel Dickens and Alice Garrard Seeger. If you love pure old time songs and singing, this album is definitely for you. If not, you should run the other way, 'cause this will be - in a word - much too intense for you. If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; sounds virtually perfect; we will have explanation of any minor conditions); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - kept from NM by one or more small conditions on record or jacket or both, explained carefully); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, free of audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
