Student Distillation Kit

Distillation is a process used to separate and purify liquids.  The separation is basd on differences in the boiling points of the liquids.  To distill a liquid, the material is heated to the boiling point.  The liquid with the lowest boiling point will be vaporized first, recondensed and collected in the test tube. 

The Student Distillation Kit contents:

1 Pyrex Distilling Flask, 50 mL

1 Borosil Test Tube, 25 mm x 200 mm

1 Rubber Stopper, size 0 with 1 hole

1 Rubber Stopper, size 4 with two holes

1 glass elbow tube with vinyl tubing, 26 cm

1 Pyrex Beaker, 100mL

Items sold separately:  thermometer, clamp, ring stand, hot plate
