It features zoom magnifications from 100X-1200X in three ranges. The low and medium power views from this microscope are excellent. The highest powers are good to very good. The images from this microscope are much better quality than microscopes I have seen costing much more. Functions as a zoom microscope and viewer. There also is a the ability to project to a close wall or paper for drawings using a user supplied high intensity lamp. Includes 81 accessories: a dissecting kit, a microtome, camera adapter, slides, coverslips, sample vials, directions to make slides for your own experiments, etc. Samples may be illuminated with mirror or light. The projection functions require a bright light source such as a high intensify lamp. A microtome is used to make thin sections for viewing by the microscope. This is quite an excellent microscope for the money. The viewer allows everyone to see the image at the same time. A great teaching tool. This is best viewed in a slightly darkened room. The viewer also will project onto a close sheet of paper or wall to make drawings much easier. To do this you will have to use a high intensity desk lamp (not included). Please note that the projection feature is not this microscope's strongest feature because of the need for the high intensity lamp. The manual has instructions in 9 languages.
