~STUNNING Antique EAPG Sad Iron/Trivet Shape Butter Dish~

RARE FIND! This is the most beautiful antique genuine pattern glass butter dish that I have ever run across in all my years of collecting fine antiques! You could also use it as a candy dish or a dresser vanity disg for your fine jewelry - it is stunningly beautiful! I acquired this gorgeous item out from a beautiful old antique Victorian estate attic in Central New York. It is all in absolutely PERFECT CONDITION! No chips or cracks or scratches anywhere to the lid ot the base. It is shaped like the old antique Sad irons and the base is shaped like the old antique Sad Iron trivets - It has a gorgeous swirled glass handle, diamond or triangular designs going all through the lid and base - it has three beautiful feet - the edge is so fancy around the base and it is just breathtakingly beautiful in every way! We found it all wrapped up in very old tissue paper and inside of an old steamer trunk and it is very old and antique - I put this in the Flint Glass category but I am not sure if this would be considered flint glass or not but it is definately very very old and the condition is amazing! I have no clue as to who could have created this lidded dish but obviously was made by one of the finest glass makers from way back when and it will be the center of attention on your dining room table, or in your living room or in any setting! It is a good sized butter dish. The trivet base measures 8 3/4" long by 5" wide. The lid measures 6 3/16" long by 4 3/16" wide and the lid fits absolutely perfectly into the base rim. This is a very special item and a very rare find! It measures just over 4 inches high from the bottom of the trivet base to the top of the fancy swirled glass handle on the lid.
