Although I sell my hand blown glass art in stores and galleries, I also sell on Ebay because I can
quickly find out if people like a particular style. Also... at galleries I
may have to wait months for a piece to sell, and then another month or two to
collect 50% of the selling price. On Ebay, my piece will sell quickly
and I get paid right away. It's also a good deal for you, because you are
buying directly from the artist (me), and you determine the value.

This work is in perfect condition and has no chips, cracks or any structural
defects. This piece is very stable and will not wobble at all.
It has been signed and dated on the bottom. It comes
with a money back guarantee (below). Sent along with this piece
comes an artist picture and bio sheet. Who knows... someday I might
be famous and this piece could be worth a lot. Do not miss this
opportunity to own a very unique and beautiful piece of art and help out a new
artist too!!!
Thanks for looking and good luck!!!!
Hand Blown glass art is a great way to decorate your home. It also makes a great
gift for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc.

An artist by nature, Dirwood grew up in a small town in Ohio. He realized
at a very early age his true passion as a craftsman and artist and began
working with glassblowing by the age of 18. Citing his mother’s glass
collection as inspiration, he earned a BFA in art with a emphasis on glass
in 2003. Dirwood has worked under renowned glass artists traveling the
country and world to educate and further his ability with art in glass. He
is truly an innovator in the modern studio glass movement.
Dirwood has been working as an independent studio
glass artist since 2004 in rural Ohio. He has won countless awards,
Creates exquisite commissions, and continues to innovate technique and
vision with the work in which he creates. At a very young age Dirwood is
showing many signs of having a prosperous and glowing career ahead of him.
He specializes in vases, bowls, and sculptural glass and is available for
custom projects and commissions. |

Here
are some recent projects I have completed...

One of my favorite
applications of color use in the blowing process is working with glass canes.
All these bowls are
made with the techniques of pulling and fusing glass canes to create the
patterns.

Here
are some pictures of my Mom and I pulling some canes.
I
really love this process... it's exciting stretching molten glass across
the driveway.
It is
really important that the glass be at just the right temperature, because if the
glass is too hot,
it
falls to the ground and if its not hot enough it won't pull.

Depending on the type of canes we pull, sometimes we pull them over 100 feet!
