Vases of this type are referred to as “Sevres Style” because they are in imitation of original pieces made by the famous French Sevres porcelain works. While the originals these emulate were made during the 18th Century, these copies date from after 1891 when the country of origin marks were first used. . While these pieces are copies, they are very high quality items and are now antiques in their own right.
