A grease can that looks like it is from the early 1900's or later 1800's. There is a picture of 3 pairs of horses pulling around a central wheel and it says "WE USE SUPERIOR AXLE GREASE" and adjoining is a picture of 5 pairs doing the same thing and it says "WE DON'T". It was "MANUFACTURED BY GALENA MANUFACTURING CO. OF ILLINOIS". 3 pounds net weight. Lid and wire bail handle are missing. The paint is about all there but it is very dented and wrinkled with lots of small dents giving about one third the surface a pebbly uneven look. Back has some wear and missing paint and a rust spot. Overall looks good for display. 5 inches diameter and 4-1/4 tall. Keep watching my auctions as I go through the old storage boxes.
