Swarovski AV3-10x42 ML Reticle Black-Powder Muzzle-Loading Rifle Scopes feature ML Reticle. This new ML reticle was designed around today's modern spitzer shaped projectiles and firearms that are designed to safely handle the 150 gr or 3 pellet loads. Each Swarovski ML Rifle Scope comes with 15 Decals:

• 5 of the decals are of 5 very popular 50 cal., modern design projectiles with 150 grain loadings based on a 100 yard Zero.
• 5 of the decals are for the same 5 bullets as above, but with a 100 grain loading based on a 50 yard zero.
• 5 of the decals will be blank. There are 34 loadings in the  instruction manual, of 45, 50 & 54 caliber, that contain 150 gr and 100 gr loading data. Data from the ML manual is intended to be written on the blank decals.

When the ML was created, I designed the subtensions specifically around Hornady’s SST-ML 50 cal saboted bullets and the intent was to market it strictly to the Black Powder market. The ML was never planned for the on line ballistic calculator as Ballistic Coefficients for muzzleloading projectiles are quite difficult to come by, but are necessary for the calculator.  There are 5 blank decals (along with the 10 muzzleloading decals) that would have to be used and hand written on with the downrange values.  

I quickly realized there could be a potential use for the ML with centerfire rifle loads and came up with the following list if the occasion ever arose for such information.  

Here are a few examples of a factory cartridges, when sighted in at 100 yards, work out to be virtually dead on at 100, 200, 300, 400 & 500 yards. Remember that this is with the AV 3-10x42 ML at 10X. For closer shots, out to 150 yards, use the scope at any magnification when using only the main central crosshair.
