SS Still Sealed - in factory-fresh condition
M Mint - Rarely used
M- Mint Minus - a near perfect, probably unplayed record
VG+ Very Good Plus close to like new with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play.
VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear but still in nice shape. May have cosmetic flaws, mild surface noise or short patches of ticking, but should sound fine overall.Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience.
VG- Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks. May have moderate noise throughout or one or two bad patches from scratches. Still fine for general listening.
G+ Good Plus. Noisy, but plays through. In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records. We really will not list too many that are in this shape! Covers may be but never the records!
