“Henry II”
Stefan Sagmeister
Acme Pen Design

This pen can be converted to a fountain pen (see below).
Stefan Sagmeister is a graphic designer known for making you look. His “Henry II” pen has a rich brown background covered in a fine turquoise maze pattern – maybe it makes you look. (I have no idea why the title). 5 3/8” long with the cap closed. The pen is enhanced by Chrome accents. The cap band holds the artist’s signature, and “ACME” is on the clip. Pen is presented in an Acme metal box.
This listing is for a NEW ACME Studio writing instrument. This product is current but “brand new”. The instrument comes equipped with roller ball components using German manufactured Schmidt ink refills (fine point, non-drying), and includes new ACME Studio packaging. Packaging includes a lined metal presentation box, with sleeve, and ACME Studio literature.

Stefan Sagmeister
Among today’s most important graphic designers, Sagmeister was born in Austria in 1962; he now lives and works in New York. Following stints at M&Co. in New York and as creative director at the Hong Kong office of the advertising agency Leo Burnett. He formed the New York based Sagmeister Inc. in 1993. He has designed graphics and packaging for the Rolling Stones, David Byrne, Lou Reed, Aerosmith and Others... His work has been nominated four times for the Grammys and has won many international design awards. Sagmeister also took on other projects, such as his AIGA lecture posters. The obscenely elongated wagging tongues of 1996’s Fresh Dialogue talks series, and a Headless Chicken strutting across a field for 1997’s conference, culminated in the drama of Sagmeister’s scarred, knife-slashed torso for 1999’s AIGA Detroit. In June 2000, Sagmeister took a year off to concentrate on experimental projects and a book Sagmeister, subtitled Made You Look. The strength of his work lies in his ability to conceptualize: to come up with potent, original, stunningly appropriate ideas.
