To reduce the risk of breakage, I pack fragile items in new, larger boxes, double bubble wrap and use Styrofoam packing peanuts as added protection as shipping services tend to be ROUGH. This may make the initial shipping price appear a little higher, but when combined with additional items this gives you a much better value.
