Saltwarter Spinning Rod 7ft 30-60lb Sharkskin/Triangle

We've made a few upgrades on this series of rods. We have switched the gimbal to a new mushroom style butt cap that is slotted so if you need, you can use it in a fighting belt.  But this cap is much easier on your stomach if you don't want to use the belt. 

We have also changed the fore grip to our custom crafted triangle fore grip .. we have found this grip is much easier to hold for long periods of time and is much less taxing on your hands when you are in a prolonged battle with a yellow fin that ate your popper.

We highly recommend the new set up .. but .. you may still order this rod with a gold aluminum gimbal and/or sharkskin fore grips .. and or an aluminum reel seat ..  at no additional cost.

This is a BaR-BaR  30-60 lb 7 foot rod with sharkskin rear grip. 

This is a true custom rod you wont see anywhere else, From the exclusive blank to the Sharkskin  grips to the exclusive guides.  This terrific rod blank is manufactured for us by Batson Enterprise to our specifications, Batson is probably best known for there Rainshadow rod blanks. This blank is a graphite/e-glass blend, it is graphite from the butt 2/3s of the way to the tip then it turns to e-glass for the last 1/3 of the blank. This gives you a lighter more sensitive rod with a very durable and forgiving tip. The best of both the e-glass and graphite worlds.  The rod starts with a marine grade gold aluminum gimbal.

The rear grip is a custom crafted, diamond wrap. This grip is crafted, with Sharkskin .. Sharkskin is a very durable material manufactured to withstand use in the harshest of environments. It is smaller in diameter then the common EVA grips with a diamond pattern under the sharkskin to enable better grip and hand to rod feel. The diamond style wrap will also allow you to retrieve the rod from a rod holder when under stress much easier  then the ring style wrap or and EV foam rear grip.  Sharkskin is tough enough, if you want a rougher surface texture you can just sand it with a large grit sand paper. It doesn't get slick when wet.  It is extremely durable, it will be on your rods after your EVA foam has turned to dust.

The reel seat is the Fuji heavy duty boat rod reel seat .. It is pictured separately we have replaced the original Pac Bay reel seat with the heavier Fuji, we can still add a locking nut if you like.   

The fore grip is a 10 inch triangular EVA foam grip we have had manufactured to our specification. It is easy to hold for long periods of time  and helps you keep the rod stable during prolong battles. 

  The 8 guides and tip are also manufactured for us by Batson, the frames are manufactured with 316 stainless steel 2 x black chrome plated for exceptional corrosion resistance. The inserts are Zirconium, plated with Titanium, this is how you  get the gold color,  The Zirconium inserts are extremely hard, smooth and dissipates heat well. Perfect for braided or mono line, they  also look good.  Each guide is under wrapped with black thread to insure no guide to blank contact. The they are attached with 4 layers of C size thread for maximum strength.  The guides are black with gold inserts ... the first guide on the 20-50 lb and the 30-60 lb rods is and over sized 50 mm .. this guide is large enough to allow the line to flow off  large reels with the larger spools with a minimum of drag when entering the guides. This will allow for longer cast.  

The  rod is wrapped in black with gold foil trim .. a great match for the gimbal, reel seat and guides.  These  20-50 and the 30-60 lb rods are durable, beautiful and functional. They have been used for jigging and casting popper to YFT with great success. The 20-50 and 30-60 lb rods can be use in a variety of ways for a variety of big game species.  

These rods are crafted right here in the USA by BaR-BaR Tackle.  This same rod is available in 10-25 .. 15-30 or  20-40 pound rod at a slightly lower price.
