Description

Up for your consideration is an absolutely beautiful Scammell circa 1943 Netherlands Aid Society Service Plate to commemorate the birth of Princess Margiet of the Netherlands. The inscription on the front loosely translates to:

    Scion of Orange
    So Far from Home,
    May God Bestow Three Gifts on Thee:
    A Cockerel Crowing Holland's Victory,
    A Banner Flowing for Orange's Liberty,
    Two Clogs to Stand on Holland's Soil,
    As Our People Lovingly Thee Extol.
    May God Bestow These Gifts on Thee!

It measures about 10-3/8" wide. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks or excessive wear.

If exact measurements are required, please email as a question for exact size. Black & White Scales when shown are Museum approved scales and one black scale measures one Centimeter (.394 inches). Color may vary from monitor to monitor. I try to photograph items in good lighting but pastels, whites, grays and some colors will vary. Most Items are washed/cleaned prior to photography. If a spot or blemish on an item shows in the photo, it is there! (with the exception of light glares).
Payment
As of October 20th, 2008 - Ebay requires that PayPal will be the only approved payment method all purchases with the exception for when the LOCAL PICKUP option is chosen. Additional PayPal payments may incur additional processing and handling fees. PayPal payment is due within 5 days of auction end or item(s) may be returned back to inventory for resale, Local pickups must be paid within 10 business days and picked up within 15 working days or otherwise agreed up time frame. . Layaway
In today's time, I understand that although some buyers may not be able to afford an item due to any one of many reasons, I offer Layaway to anyone who asks in most circumstances with no additional charges. Typical layaway terms: Under $100 - 30 days, Under $200 - 60 Days, Over $300 - 90 days or negotiated time. Transactions not completed within layaway term are non-refundable and the item will return for sale unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Please email for further information.
Shipping & Delivery
I combine shipping when possible. Items will be shipped 5 to 7 business days after payment is received or after echecks clear. Items are processed & packaged on Saturdays and shipped on Mondays. Items shipped to New Jersey will be charged 7% state sales tax. Items often ship on Mondays if payment is received by Sunday morning.
International Shipping
I will ship outside the continental United States in most circumstances. Up to a $5.00 handling fee for all international shipments may be added to the cost of the cost of shipping. Please email me PRIOR to bidding if this item can be shipped internationally and for the cost of the shipping. I will fill out all appropriate forms and customs papers properly. Customs forms WILL NOT BE FILLED OUT INCORRECTLY! Receipts and copies of the auction will be included with the shipment for customs review if necessary. All duties, Tariff and enforce trade and regulatory policies are the sole responsibility of the winning bidder. International payments MUST be in the form of Paypal payment. Please be advised that international shipping may take several weeks or more to be received.
Refunds & Returns
