A 2 3/8" tall BEAUTIFUL unusual DEEP COBALT BLUE colored hand blown POISON bottle. Bottle is an irregular triangular shape, and is covered with vertical embossed lines.  Bottle also has faded front label.

  • Label very lightly reads:    "SOLOID / TRADE / NIZIN / MARK / AZINC SALT OF SULPHANILIC ACID / POISON / LONDON / (ENG.) / NEW YORK".   This was a product of the Burroughs Wellcome Company

  • Condition:  Bottle is in pristine sparkling clean condition, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  ATTIC MINT!

  • Age:  An early hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.

  • Shipping: Buyer pays $5.01 S/H which includes $1.75 for insurance ~ more if international ~ We ship every Wednesday. So if you pay with PayPal by Tuesday evening, we will ship your item Wednesday. Payments received later than that will have to wait until the following Wednesday to ship, though we can possibly make exceptions. Regardless, your prompt payment will assure a very quick turn-around time.

This bottle is listed as number KT-12 by Rudy Kuhn in his book, 'Poison Bottle Workbook'.   What makes poison bottles so popular as a whole are the unique patterns, shapes, and colors they come in.  Like this one in DEEP COBALT BLUE glass, fully embossed with VERTICAL LINES all over it, and in an odd TRIANGULAR SHAPE.   All of these characteristics were designed to let a person know that this bottle contained a deadly product, so that by touch and sight, the bottle would not be mistaken for something else.  The label on this one is badly faded, I really had to study it hard to make out the information that I have described.  A great example in this sparkling clean condition and deep blue coloration, check it out!

Terms of Sale: Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction so please completely read the item description and ask any questions before bidding or buying. Insurance is automatically included in the shipping charge on all domestic sales. Insurance is NOT offered on international sales, thank you!
