2010 Cat: $57.50

This auction is for Scott catalog number RB6a, the 6¢ on violet paper Internal Revenue / Proprietary stamp from the series of 1871-74. It is used and has a red printed cancel. Centering is very nice - about VF. Perfs are in excellent condition. No faults - no rips, tears, folds, creases, or thins. Add this nice Proprietary issue to your US collection this weekend!

We're starting this auction at $0.99 and as always - no annoying reserve in our auctions!!

We describe our stamps as accurately as possible. Perfs and watermarks are checked closely. We use an Omano 40x lighted stereo trinocular microscope to examine the stamps for minute details that differentiate one issue from another. Any flaws that we find we will note in the description.
Used stamps may or may not have hinge remnants attached.
Unused, mint stamps will be described as either never hinged, previously hinged, etc. If there is a hinge remnant on an unused / mint stamp, it WILL be noted in the description.
Gum - we do our best to determine if a mint stamp has been re-gummed or not. The most obvious way to tell is by looking between the perfs. It is impossible for an original gum stamp to have gum in the grooves / wells between perfs, as the gum is applied before the perfs are cut. However, sometimes an extremely good re-gumming job will have been done where the scam artist was able to keep the gum out of those grooves. We aren't the A.P.S. with super expensive equipment and can't detect every re-gummed stamp, so if one slips by us, it most certainly is not intentional. If you get a stamp that you feel has been re-gummed and we didn't notice it, then by all means, send it back for a 100% refund!!
As the Scott catalogs state, there are fakes and fraudulently perforated / trimmed copies of several of the Washington / Franklin coil stamps on the market. We have done our best to be sure that what you are buying is authentic. To be 100% certain, a stamp can be expertized by any number of professional agencies. However, it is unrealistic for a seller to do this for every item being offered for sale, especially those that catalog under $150; the expertizing fees charged these days run a MINIMUM of $25 plus shipping! If you want to have your purchase expertized, please let us know at the time you remit payment for the item. You will be responsible for the payment of expertizing fees and associated shipping. Should the item be identified as not authentic, send the item back to us along with a photocopy of the expertization document; we will refund your purchase price and shipping. IF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE NON-AUTHENTIC ITEM WAS GREATER THAN $100, WE WILL PAY YOUR AUTHENTICATION FEES.
