Postcard Information

We sell only Vintage (1898-1970)postcards. We DO NOT sell REPRODUCTIONS. All cards are hand picked for the best quality.

CD Information

Our CD's were created from the thousands of postcard scans that we have on file from over 9 years of selling on eBay. Postcards vary considerably in their quality,(halftones, poor and faded photos, creases, damage, postmark show thru etc) and to keep the sets balanced we slightly soften the appearance. Postcards are originally scanned at 200 DPI. General industry standards suggest that anything over 150 DPI is not recommended since it does not look any better on a PC screen. We then put the scans through Image enhancement software(Irfanview) to sharpen the images and resize them to be slightly larger than a postcard. The enhancement software will tend to slightly distort the description but will brighten the image. We have determined that given the variation in postcard quality our current setting provides the best setup for viewing our postcards on a PC. The result is that poor cards look acceptable and photo type cards also still look fine and the overall balance between cards is consistent. If you print out the views, as with any lower resolution photography, blowups will decrease the resolution. 100 year old postcards are very difficult to reproduce consistently since most were hand colored and were printed in low resolution. To make them look like current digital photography is impossible. Our Scans are watermarked with "CD Cards" on eBay to protect them from cyber theft. We have CD's available at our storefronts of nearly all of the Counties cities and major towns in Pennsylvania & New York and larger towns in Ohio, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island with more states to follow. We are currently developing CD's for major cities throughout the US . We have hundreds of satisfied customers who have ordered the CD's in multiple quantities for personal use (screensaver,scrapbooking,T shirt xfers etc) and for gift ideas like (multiple copies for family/ high school/college reunions, relatives/friends who have moved away,Christmas, birthdays etc.)

Coins and Proof Sets

Our coins are guaranteed to be authentic and are as graded. We grade using our interpretation of the ANA (gray book) grading standards unless the items are slabbed and graded by a third party grading service.
