This scrapbook presents hundreds of items from 12 circuses of the 1930s through
1950s. They are:
Arthur Brothers Circus:
This circus operated from 1942 to 1945. Owner was Martin E. Arthur,
former sideshow operator of the Hildebrand Carnival. Operating out of Venice,
California, and Las Vegas.

photos of the circus' 1935 elephant accident when an elephant killed a 9-year-old
girl in Crookston, Minnesota, plus 6 other newspaper clippings dated 1935
to 1944, including photo and article about owner Robert Lee Atterbury.

Condition: Very Nice Condition. No library
or institution markings. Pages and cover are securely attached.
Pages are fresh and clean. Many of the items are glued to the pages,
while many others are laid in looseleaf.
