We acquired this bell from a man in Columbus, Ohio who said he believed this bell came from a 1930's Seagrave fire truck. The bell is not cracked and has a beautiful sound (cast and tuned to the pitch of ("E"). It measures nearly 12" across the skirt and weighs close to 50 pounds. The bell is nickel plated and the bell mounting fixture is plain brass. The clapper is steel and the crown nut is plated brass. We recovered the actual bell from our Seagrave restoration project which had been missing for years, so this one needs to find a new home.
