BOOK CONDITION GUIDELINES
Like New: Book may have been read, and may have slight cover rubbing from being on the shelf (even new books in bookstores sometimes show a little cover rubbing), but there are no folded pages, writing, tears or spine creases. Book is still clean and crisp. These books look new or "almost new", and in some cases are actually new books that have just gotten a bit of shelf rubbing on the cover from being stored.
Very Good: The book has been read, and may show a little (but not excessive) wear to the cover. If there is any writing, highlighting, or markings, it will be minimal. Page or cover creases, if any, will be minimal.
Good: The cover may show some obvious use, such as small tears, creasing or discoloration, but the text remains intact. There may be some writing or highlighting or marks on the text pages or cover. Some pages may have yellowing due to age.
Fair: These books have been well read. They are "reader copies" only. They may not look very pretty. There may be considerable writing, highlighting, tears, creasing or stains, but they are still readable.
Poor: Typically, we will not sell books that are in this bad of condition; however in the case of a rare, hard to find book, on occasion, we will make it available for sale. These books are pretty ugly, but can still be read.

STANDARD U.S. SHIPPING METHODS
Standard Book shipping is via Media Mail or Bound Printed Matter. This typically takes 7-21 business days, but can take longer at times. Shipments to Alaska & Hawai can take a few weeks. Expedited book shipping is via Priority Mail and typically takes 3-7 business days. Please note: These shipping times are from the day we ship, and are guidelines only. We have no control over the package once it is in the Post Offices hands.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We are happy to ship internationally, however there are a few countries we either can not ship to at all, or the cost makes it prohibitive: We can not ship to Somalia at all. It is prohibited by the Postal Service. The following countries only have airmail or airmail m-bag shipping available, making the price quite high (even to ship 1 book): Guinea-Bissau, Lebanon and Liberia. We also do not ship to the following countries: Nigeria and Indonesia.
Customs: International orders, including Canadian, may be subject to
customs &
duties. Buyer is responsible for these fees. A customs form, with the amount paid, will be filled out by Valaries Volumes

With the changes in Postal Service options we now ship all individual books are shipped either first class or priority (depending on weight of the book), which typically takes 5- 14 days. Only book lots that are able to fit in flat rate boxes are offered for international sale due to the high cost of shipping.

RETURNS
Returns are accepted, but you must contact us within 3 days of receiving the order to get return authorization. Please include item number and reason for requesting return. Refunds (less a 10% restocking fee if we are not at fault) are given once we receive the merchandise back and can verify that it is the same
