New in blue .. This rod is not in stock, it will be built to order .. the estimated time to build and ship this rod is 7-14 days. This is a listing for 30-80 lb Seeker 7 foot spinning rod. This is as good as it gets when you want to throw a Tuna Hunter or Angry Popper at big YFT on the surface. This rod is wrapped in blue and blue and blue Over the past several years, the fishing reel manufactures have made awesome improvements in the spinning reels that are now being manufactured, they now have the capacity to hold 500 to 1000 yards of braided line and they have the ability to produce amazing amounts of drag .. What we have not seen are spinning rods built to use with these reels .... HERE YOU GO This 7 foot 30-80 lb rod. This rod starts with a new rubber/mushroom style butt cap that has groves cut for use on a fighting belt ... the best of both worlds ... easier on your stomach if you don't put it in a belt .. The rear grip on this rod is a ribbed EVA foam we had manufactured for us .. it is smallish in diameter, so easy to grip and hold for long periods of time. It is 10 inches in length which is ideal to cast with, this is the same length as most stand up rod butts .. so when you put it in a fighting belt .. you will be right at home with the length The reel seat is the Fuji heavy duty, saltwater graphite ... This is the same reel seat used for boat rods .. so it is more then strong enough for spinnng rod applications. The fore grip is a triangular shaped grip we have had manufactured for us. It is molded in a taper, so easy to hold and it has a great transition from the reel seat and too the blank, On a tuna trip a few years ago, everyone who caught tuna in the 100lb range on a spinner was in total agreement that we should try putting the triangular grips on the spinning rods and not just the stand up rods .... We tried it, and now all of our big spinners come standard with the triangular fore grip .. When you are 45 minutes into fighting a 150 lb YFT on this spinning rod, and he rips off a couple hundred yards of line ... it will be OK if you want to drop me a thank you note for the triangular fore grip when you get back ...... This rod is built with the 30-80 lb Seeker CJB 700 H blank. This blank is one of the most trusted blanks for saltwater rods anywhere. The 8 guides plus the tip are from Forecast .. they have blue Zirconium inserts. These guides are extremely hard, smooth and dissipate heat well. They are very corrosive resistant and made for the super braided lines ... Each guide is under wrapped in blue metellic thread to insure no guide to blank contact, then each guide is attached with 4 layers of black C sized thread for maximum strength. The first guide is and over sized 50 mm .. this is to let the line from the big spinners with the big spools run a little easier into the first guide to neck down .. This rod is wrapped in Ice, Royal and Electric blue and black ... I have the sample of this rod in stock ...As a rule ... additional rods can be can be crafted and shipped in around 10-14 days ... NOTE ... With all the different options on rod blanks, guides, reel seats, fore and rear grips, wraps and colors .. It is impossible for us to stock any appreciable numbers of any of the rods we build .. If you are in a hurry for a rod please contact us to see what we have available prior to ordering .. In some cases.. depending on components and our work load, we can build and ship a rod over a weekend . In some cases This rod is crafted right here in the USA by BaR-BaR Tackle, additional rods are available and special orders are always welcome. If you are the winning bidder of this rod we will place your name one it at no additional charge.
