Known as Bare Knuckle in Japan, Sega's classic beat-em-up featured design by Team Shinobi and a classic soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro. Streets of Rage hit consoles in 1991. Created and distributed by SEGA, the beat-'em-up instantly climbed to the top of many gamers' all-time lists. Streets of Rage followed the story of Axel, Blaze and Adam, three cops hell-bent on taking back their fallen city. The game offered all the classics: Knife fights, metal pipes, katana blades and police brutality.
