Q: Hello, I am looking at getting a system like this for an elderly family member and I have a few questions. When the button is pushed to call for help, is the 1st number on the list called and then if there is no answer at that number it goes to #2 on the list? or does it call all 4 #'s at the same time? For example, my cell # would be the 1st on the list, but I have voice mail so even if I didn't answer the call my voice mail would and then I might not get the message for a while. Is there a way to go around this problem? What is the delivery estimate for this item? Can the siren that is mentioned be disabled? (I'm afraid this would add stress to the situation) I apologize for all the questions, but I am planning to purchase an item like this immediately and am very interested in your product. Thank you! Correct. It calls all 4 numbers one at a time. The person who answers and then hits "0" will tell it when to stop calling. If no one picking up hits "0", it will keep calling all of the numbers. Answering machines and voice mail will not fool it. Estimated delivery is about three days and the siren can be disabled. If you bought it today, you could have it by early next week. Q: Does the battery for the heart pendant also come with this unit? Also, what battery does it use?Is there anything else needed for it's use that must be purchased seperately? Oct-06-07 A: Yes, the battery comes with the unit and it is a lithium ion battery similar to that used in a large watch. Expect a battery to last 2-3 years. They can be replaced at any camera store and it is a good idea to replace them yearly (this is our recomendation). The only thing you will need is a 9 v battery (I believe it comes with the unit as well) to back up the base unit in case of a power outage. This enables the unit to operate without any electricity in the home for a limited amount of time. Usage of the back up system will determine when to replace the 9v. I recommend changing it once a year or purchasing a battery tester for a couple of bucks. The connecton cords are also included, everything you need, its basically plug and play. Hi, I will be happy to help. When the system dials a number, the system will continue to the next number until someone answers and presses "0" on their telephone receiver.
