This is a very cool plastic mesh ball screen that snaps over the top of a Sennheiser 421 dynamic microphone. This genuine Sennheiser ball screen is far superior to foam ball screens and a whole lot better than just putting a sock over the mike. (Oh believe me, I've worked in some cheap radio stations that did exactly that!) The ball screen keeps out pops and deep wind noise while retaining the warm and crisp sound of the 421 so you can talk nice and close if you like. I've seen these balls selling elsewhere on eBay for around $129 so they're costlier than foam balls, but in the end the difference in sound makes it worth it.

I want to clarify that even though you see the ball hooked onto a microphone in the picture, this auction is for the ball screen only, it does not include a mike.
