This is a combination of my popular LCD #117 Kit,  a printed circuit board from Paul Badger , and a quality 4X20 LCD with blue backlight. 

Note that this is a fully assembled unit just waiting to interface with your project.

Features.

  • 4X20 character text LCD with blue backlight.
  • 9600 Baud TTL Interface
  • 64 Byte Receive Buffer
  • Eight User Defined Characters (saved in EEPROM).
  • Programmable Tab Size (saved in EEPROM).
  • Programmable Cursor Style (saved in EEPROM).
  • Rich Cursor Instruction Set including, clear LCD, clear current line, cursor to defined line, cursor to defined column, cursor up, down, back, foward, new line and "beep".
  • 3 block wide and 4 block wide "big number" capability.
  • Customized splash display screen.
  • Variable intensity of  LED backlight.
  • Three addressable TTL level outputs (15 mA) - Available on solder pads near the processor.
  • +5 VDC, GRD and SerIn plus a separate +5 VDC for powering the LCD backlight available on 4-terminal IDE locking connector.  A cable about 12 inches long is included.

A source of +5 VDC is required.  The maximum current drain is 10 mA plus up to 50 mA for the LED backlight.
