“Serious Beginners’ Art Kit”
…An art kit for beginners looking for quality.
The idea for this auction came about when I realized that most ready-made art kits come with cheap and low quality art supplies. On my birthday last month, I received lots of art supplies, some of which I already had plenty of, some I did not like, and I decided this would be a great way to share with the artistic community what I did not need!
For those of you looking to experiment with all those big-named suppliers out there, now’s your chance to do so without investing huge amounts of cash into it! Also, as a fellow artist, I would recommend all of these brands. I’m quite fond of all of them, but some of their products just do not fit my artistic style.
I’m offering to you some of my best materials at a discounted price, just because they’re not in their wrapping.
The Kit Contains:
A: 1 ‘Stadetler ® Mars Plastic’ eraser still in it’s wrapping.
B: 1 pack of ‘Prismacolor ® Premier Markers 6 pack’ opened but never used*.
C: 1 pack of ‘Prismacolor ® Verithin Colored Pencils’ opened, sharpened, but never used**.
D: 1 tin of ‘Prismacolor ® Premier Colored Pencils 24 Pack’ opened but never sharpened or used.
E: 1 ‘Faber-Castell ® PITT artists pen’ w/ Brush (B) Nib; loose but never used.***
F: 1 ‘Faber-Castell ® PITT artists pen’ w/ Medium (M) Bullet Nib; loose but never used.***
G: 1 ‘Faber-Castell ® PITT artists pen’ w/ Small (S) Bullet Nib; loose but never used. ***
H: 1 Set of ‘Faber-Castell ® PITT artists pens’, all Brush (B) Nib in various shads of cool and warm gray. There are a total of 5 of these. All loose and never used. ***
I: 1 ‘Prismacolor ® Woodless Graphite Pencil’ (6B); Loose and never used.
J: 3 ‘Sanford ® Design Drawing Pencils’ (2B, HB, 2H) All new, never used, and loose-floating with no wrapping. They are sharpened, but they came that way.
K: 1 ‘Sanford ® Design Ebony Pencil’ Jet Black/Extra Smooth; brand new, loose, and unsharpened.
L: 2 Shading sticks from two different brands, both of which I don’t know the name for. They’re new, in great condition, and loose.
M: One 3.5” x 7” padded black carrying bag, used but excellent condition. I have no idea where it came from, what it was originally meant for, but I used it with my pencils for a few months until I got something bigger. It’s great if you have a few colored pencils you need to keep separate from the rest because you are using them on a project.
N: Also included, as my gift to you, 3 sheets of Smooth Bristol Paper (good for just about EVERYTHING!) and 5 sheets of Strathmore Smooth Drawing Paper, superb for pencil and graphite.
O: All of this comes in a green box (the inner lining is pink). I decided to use the box just for extra protection during shipping since everything fit nicely inside of it, but other than that, the box really doesn’t hold much value. The loose sheets of paper will be shipped in an envelop.
Payment Methods:
Paypal ONLY. I will add the paypal fee to the final price of this auction, as I don’t want it costing me. It’s very cheep though, and shouldn’t be more than a few bucks.
Shipping:
Buyer pays shipping! I will ship international, but it’s not recommended. Packages shipped internationally get pretty beat up! This item is best if you are in the U.S. If you are interested in buying, please mail me with your mailing address to get a shipping estimate. I can’t post one defiant price, so if you want to know, you’ll have to mail me to find out. It’s a bit heavy and pretty big, so shipping might be an issue for some.
Refund Policy:
I have a no-refund policy if you find you are just not satisfied with the items, but if you find that a marker/pen runs out of ink before or during the third day after purchase, then I will happily refund you the price of the item so long as it is mailed back to me (I will pay for the shipping). This shouldn’t be a problem though; both Prismacolor and Faber-Castell have a long ink life. :)
Remember those *’s???
* - For some reason, Prismacolor decided to go with a new design for their markers… My older set is a completely different design and it bothered me greatly to have two different kinds. (I have OCD, so little stuff like that bothers me). I decided that selling them would be the right thing to do.
** - The Verithin were a gift from my brother, and, as a favor to me, he sharpened them before he gave them to me. When I asked him why the red and orange pencils were shorted than the others, he explained, “Those pencils are awfully hard to sharpen; the lead kept breaking on me!” So, yes, two of the pencils are a little shorter than the rest. Sorry! They are all unused and in their newly-bought condition otherwise.
***- The total of the 8 Faber-Castell pens were actually part of a ‘manga kit’ thing. They were a gift from a relative who forgot I hate using ink for gray-scale work.
Questions About the Items?:
It would take a while to really explain everything there is to know about each product, so I won’t waste my time trying to put it all down. However, if you have any questions at all, feel free to message or email me with your question about the product. I will answer your questions to the absolute best of my abilities!
Price Tally (see chart below):
That brings the total (minus shipping, ebay ($2.54), & paypal fees) to: $35.05 + $2.54 = 35.59. That means you save around… For the love of, around $45.00! (And I’d hate to think of what shipping each item individually if you were to buy online would cost…)
