5 Vintage Small Aesthetic Bronze Ormolu Italian Frames Lot
Description
Heavy Rare set of 5 Italian cast bronze ormolu picture frames; Aesthetic border with scrolls reminiscent of a Persian rug design, marked in the metal on the back“MADE ITALY” . I will be listing a larger gold ormolu over cast iron Victorian frame in a seperate auction; If both auctions are won there will be no additional shipping charges for this set. These are from the historic town of Sedalia, home of the 19th century Bothwell Hotel and the Missouri State Fair. The streets are lined with antebellum mansions and manor houses. Truly one of a kind set; Heavy Vintage set with soft wine red velvet inside to protect the back of your photo. Heavy plated bronze over solid thick and chunky sand or sandi-casted brass or white brass from a brass battery or foundry. Not magnetic and not iron or steel. Heavy and extravagant; Bidding begins low for fairness (see highly detailed photographs below). . Excellent condition so I would say that they do not appear to have much age on them - brilliant without worn or verdigris spots anywhere. Extra heavy duty that will not bend or dent even if dropped; Vintage as they have not recently produced such nice quality frames. They have the original glass to protect the photographs; Glass is not scratched or cloudy with no chips or cracks; Any white spots are from the camera flash that took the photograph. The glass enclosures do not slide in and out - they open with clips that pull on and off the back and seal tightly (the clips are very tight you will need a small flat tool or tiny flat bladed screw driver to remove the clips, then they push tightly back on). The backing material will not disintegrate or tare up as it is extra heavy particle board. The glass is firmly in place and will not move around or break during shipping. Will be packaged in loads of bubble wrap and packing peanuts with “Fragile” marked everywhere. Truly a one of a kind heirloom set in excellent condition; Would make a great holiday or Christmas gift for family or school photographs. No damages whatsoever with no scratches, never ever cleaned, no dark spots, no corrosion ever, never have been wet, no dents or dings, no cracks, no starting cracks, no repairs. Each Measures apx. 5 1/8 inches tall by 3 ¾ wide. Will hold pictures that measure 3 ½ inches tall by 2 ½ inches wide. Stunning - you will be the first owner of this gorgeous set. These are spotlessly clean with no scratches from cleaning - cleaned only with a soft cloth. Excellent heirloom condition; No scrapes, No cracks, No scratches, No dents, No dings, Too heavy to ever dent or bend even if dropped. Glass is not chipped, not cracked, not scratched, not cloudy, or otherwise damaged. No stains - No damages whatsoever. How many pieces like this do you find every day.
