We just got in a beautiful batch of quarter sawn maple which had incredible yield. This is older inventory from a truly exceptional bundle. Take advantage of this offering and build up your shaft inventory as fine shaft wood is getting more and more difficult to locate.

Here we show two photo's of shafts and the ends. As you can see these are quarter sawn white, straight grain, no mineral or sugar and perfectly straight (no warping). These are really nice white shafts. (Note: photo was darkened to show the ring concentration).You will also find that our shafts are more dense and therefore weigh more than what you're probably using now.

Note: When we say clear, no mineral or sugar; we mean that any dowels which come with surface sugar WILL cut out and the final shaft will be clear. We will not send dowels with any mineral streaks. We know enough about wood to know which will cut out.

These shafts are most certainly premium quality and worthy of a premium bid. When was the last time you had an opportunity to buy some nice shafts for what you want to pay?

By viewing the shaft ends you can see the high growth ring concentration; these will average 8-12 growth rings per inch. You will not be disappointed.

We sell about 1500+ shafts a month in varying forms. We bring in the finest (vacuum and kiln dried) hard maple from northern Michigan. These squares are specifically accumulated for us according to our specifications. When our supplier (and friend) accumulates a sufficient quantity, they are then trucked down to us. These are then  turned into 1" dowels with our doweling machine. As with all our products, we do it all ourselves to maintain our high quality standards.
